Upside-Down Specialty Casters
Hamilton's UHD / UHS Series Upside-Down Casters are the labor-saving, state-of-the-art way to move steel plates to shearing machines. Sockets are designed for mounting the casters upside-down in a field of steel pipes extending from the floor to match the height of the shear. With unbelievable ease, one operator can often do the work of two or more. Better yet, these omni-directional movers are shielded from slag and built so tough they'll save you untold replacement costs and downtime over the years.The two standard models here utilize the swivel technology of Hamilton's EHD and HS series respectively. Combined with crowned wheel treads that minimize friction, their integrally forged kingpin and precision tapered thrust bearing provide easy and accurate transfer of the thickest steel plates. Wheels are equipped with hardened roller bearings rotating on hardened and ground steel spanner bushings for optimum performance and life. Ball-check lubrication fittings are provided to swivel and wheel bearings. For handling stainless steel or other fine finishes, Duralast® (polyurethane tread) wheels are offered in these casters (capacities limited to wheel ratings).
All models feature 5" diameter wheels and a 3" socket depth.
